Randy Kraft: The Scorecard Killer 

Randolph Steven "Randy" Kraft was one of the most vicious serial killers in American history, responsible for the rape, torture, mutilation and murder of as many as 67 young men between 1972 and 1983. 

Jeffrey Dahmer

One of America's most infamous serial killers, Jeffrey Dahmer murdered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991, cannibalizing some of his victims and keeping their body parts in his refrigerator. His murders involved rape, torture, dismemberment, necrophilia and cannibalism.

Ted Bundy   

Theodore Robert Bundy (a.k.a. Ted Bundy) is the most notorious serial killer in the annals of American crime, a vicious necrophile and rapist who ranged across the country from Washington to Florida, brutalizing amd murdering young women. 
   

Dean Corll: The Candyman

Along with two teenaged accomplices,  Corll lured young male victims to his home where they were  tied up, tortured and sodomized before being shot to death or strangled. Corll and his young accomplices then buried the bodies at a boathouse he’d hired for that purpose.

Jack the Ripper

Perhaps the most notorious serial killer of all time, Saucy Jack terrorized London's East End for nine bloody weeks during 1888. His victims were five prostitutes who he literally tore apart, sometimes removing body parts from the scene. 

David Carpenter: The Trailside Killer

Known as the "Trailside Killer" Carpenter stalked the parks of Marin and Santa Cruz Counties in California during the late 70's and early 80's. He stabbed and shot 11 victims to death before eventually being arrested in May 1981. 

Peter Sutcliffe: The Yorkshire Ripper

One of Britain’s most horrific serial killers,  “Yorkshire Ripper” Peter Sutcliffe carried out a reign of terror between 1975 and 1980, during which he murdered 13 women and severely injured seven others, using  hammers, screwdrivers and Stanley knives. 

H. H. Holmes

Qualified as a medical doctor, Holmes (real name Herman Webster Mudgett) seems to have taken real delight in murder. As the good doctor himself said, “I was born with the "Evil One" standing as my sponsor beside the bed where I was ushered into the world, and he has been with me since.”

Leonard Lake & Charles Ng

A horrendously depraved serial killer team, Lake and Ng were a couple of ex-Marines who tortured and murdered at least 11 victims - men, women and children - at their remote cabin near Wilseyville, California. To make things worse, they kept a detailed video diary of their horrific deeds.

Hadden Clark - the Cross-Dressing Cannibal 

A horrifically warped killer, Hadden Clark was convicted of killing a 6-year-old girl and a 23-year-old-woman, and is believed to have cannibalized their corpses. Investigators believe he may have committed as many as 23 murders.  

Bobby Joe Long 

A brutal rapist and strangler, Long abducted, sexually assaulted, and murdered at least 10 women in the Tampa Bay Area over just eight months, from March to November 1984. He is currently on Death Row in Florida.

Paul Durousseau

A deadly cab driver who strangled seven young women in Jacksonville, Florida and in Fort Benning, Georgia. Durousseau targeted young African-American women who he would tie her up and rape her, and then strangle to death. 

John Muhammad and Lee Malvo

The harrowing tale of the Beltway Snipers, a pair of deadly shooters who held Washington DC in a grip of terror over 22 bloody days in October 2002.

Ronald Dominique: The Bayou Strangler

Ronald Dominique is one of America's most prolific serial killers, responsible for the deaths of as many as 25 men who he lured to his trailer, raped, tortured and strangled to death.The bodies were dumped in various bayous, earning him the nickname, "The Bayou Strangler."

Joel Rifkin

A prolific prostitute slayer from Long Island, New York, Rifkin strangled and bludgeoned his victims to death before hacking their bodies apart. Rifkin claimed 17 victims before his arrest in June 1993.

Mild-mannered office worker by day, torturer and serial killer by night, Richard Cottingham a.k.a. the Torso Killer, left a trail of mutilated bodies across New York and New Jersey.

Dorothea Puente

A seemingly respectable boarding house operator, Dorothea Puente was in fact a heartless killer who murdered her tenants and then continued cashing their social security checks after their deaths.

Richard Trenton Chase: The Vampire of Sacremento 

Nicknamed the Vampire of Sacramento, Richard Trenton Chase was a schizophrenic serial killer who murdered six people over the span of just a month in Sacramento, California. He drank the blood of his victims because he believed that his own blood was turning to powder.

Donald "PeeWee" Gaskins

Dubbed "The Meanest Man in America" Gaskins was a prolific killer who may have claimed over 80 victims. He conveniently divided these into "Serious Murders" (murders for profit) and "Coastal Kills" (murders committed for his own amusement). 

John Wayne Gacy 

One of America’s most notorious serial killers, John Wayne Gacy murdered at least 33 teenaged boys and young men in Chicago, Illinois, burying most of the bodies in the crawlspace under his house. Arrested in 1978, Gacy eventually went to the electric chair for his horrendous crimes. 

Albert Fish: The Werewolf of Wisteria

He looked like a frail and kindly old man, but Albert Fish was actually one of America's most horrendous serial killers, a cannibal who preyed on children. 

Pedro Lopez: The Monster of the Andes 

Known as “The Monster of the Andes,” Pedro Lopez preyed on young girls aged between 8 and 12. Arrested in 1980, he was convicted of 110 murders, although estimates of his death toll run as high as 300. Amazingly, Lopez served just eight years, before being released in 1998. His current whereabouts are unknown. 
 

Robert Black

One of the UK’S most reviled serial killers, Robert Black (a.k.a. Smelly Bob) kidnapped, raped and murdered four girls aged 5 to 11 years, between 1981 and 1986. A diagnosed psychopath, he is also suspected of several unsolved child murders in the UK and mainland Europe, which he visited as a truck driver. 

Lawrence Bittaker & Roy Norris

This depraved serial killer pair met in prison, where they hatched a truly horrific plan to kidnap, torture and rape teenaged girls. After their release they bought a Transit van which they dubbed “Murder Mack” and put their diabolical scheme into action.  

Ian Brady & Myra Hindley: The Moors Murderers

Arguably Britain’s most hated killers, Ian Brady and Myra Hindley preyed on children, claiming five young victims between between July 1963 and October 1965.

Dennis Rader - the BTK Killer 

Calling himself BTK (which stands for "Bind, Torture, Kill,”), Dennis Rader terrorized Wichita, Kansas over a period of two decades, committing 10 horrific torture murders, while sending taunting letters to the police. 

The Boston Strangler 

Albert de Salvo took the fall but most experts now agree that he wasn't responsible for the 13 deaths attributed to this unnamed serial killer. So who exactly was the Boston Strangler? 

Coral Watts

A particularly savage killer, Watts struck a deal granting him immunity from all but one murder. However, he privately confessed to killing over 80 women.

John Reginald Christie 

The notorious Strangler of Rillington Place murdered at least eight women in the 1940s and early 1950s, burying their bodies in various places at his derelict London home. 

Joachim Kroll

Known as the Ruhr Hunter or the Duisburg Man-Eater, Joachim Kroll prowled the German cities along the Ruhr for over decades claiming 14 female victims, most of who were children. 

William Bonin

A ferocious and unbelievably cruel sex slayer, Bonin haunted Southern California's highways for eight years, from 1972 to 1980, claiming as many as 44 young victims. 

Dennis Nilson

They called him the "British Jeffrey Dahmer," and with good reason. This deadly necrophile killed and dismembered at least 16 young men. 

Rodney Alcala - The Dating Game Killer

A depraved sex slayer, Rodney Alcala was convicted of 8 murders but may have been responsible for as many as 130.

Kenneth Bianchi & Angelo Buono - The Hillside Stranglers

A deadly pair of miscreants who raped, tortured and murdered 10 female victims in Los Angeles during a 4 month period between late 1977 and early 1978.  

Harvey Carignan - The Want-Ad Killer  

Reprieved from a death sentence in Alaska and then paroled, Harvey Carignan murdered at least 5 women between 1949 and 1974. ‘Harv the Hammer,’ as he was known, bludgeoned his victims to death in what are some of the most brutal murders in American criminal history.   

John Norman Collins - The Ypsilanti Ripper

A Ted Bundy prototype, 21 year old MU student John Norman Collins brutally murdered and mutilated seven young coeds between 1967 and 1969. 
   

Danny Rolling - The Gainesville Ripper

Known as the Gainesville Ripper, Rolling murdered five students in Gainesville, Florida, literally hacking them apart. He ws also convicted of a triple triple homicide in his hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana. Rolling was executed by lethal injection in 2006.

Ivan Milat - The Backpacker Killer

A deadly Australian psychopath who murdered eight backpackers in the Belanglo State Forest, in New South Wales town during the 1990s.

Herb Baumeister

A deadly strangler of gay men, Herb Baumeister claimed as many as 16 victims in Indianapolis between 1980 and 1996, discarding their burnt and dismembered bodies at his "boneyard."

John Joubert  

Known as the Nebraska Boy Snatcher, Joubert claimed at least three young victims, stabbing and slashing them to death.

Patrick MacKay

One of Britain’s most vicious serial killers, Patrick Mackay stabbed and bludgeoned at least eleven people to death between 1973 and 1975. His victims included an 89-year-old woman and a Catholic priest.

Arthur Gary Bishop

One of the most notorious child killers in US history, Bishop sexually molested and murdered five young boys in Utah between 1979 and 1983. His youngest victim was just four years old.

Douglas Clark: The Sunset Strip Slayer

Together with accomplice Carol Bundy, Clark murdered at least seven young women in just two months during the summer of 1980, committing necrophilia and severe mutilations on the bodies.

Andrei Chikatilo 

One of the most infamous serial killers in history, Andrei Romanovich Chikatilo murdered at least 52 women and children between 1978 and 1990, ripping them apart and in some cases consuming their flesh.

John George Haigh

“Vampire Killer” John George Haigh went to the gallows in 1949 for the murders of six people who he killed and then dissolved in a vat of acid. Although financially motivated, Haigh claimed that he’d murdered his victims in order to drink their blood.

Westley Allan Dodd

A sickening pedophile who preyed on little boys, claiming three victims before he was eventually caught. Dodd went to the gallows at Walla Walla, Washington in January 1993.

Wayne Williams and the Atlanta Child Murders

Between the summer of 1979 and the Spring of 1981, a series of at least 28 murders of children and young adults occurred in Atlanta, Georgia. A man named Wayne Williams was eventually arrested and convicted for two of the adult murders but most experts agree that he was not responsible for all of the killings. So who was?
